Register to vote
In Wisconsin, you can register to vote at the polls on election day or when voting early in-person. Just be sure you bring proof of residency like a bank statement, paycheck, utility bill or a state ID card that includes your name and current residential address.
Have Your PHOTO ID ReadY
Wisconsin voters are required to show a photo ID when voting. Acceptable forms of photo ID include:
  • A Wisconsin DOT-issued driver license, even if driving privileges are revoked or suspended
  • A Wisconsin DOT-issued identification card
  • A Military ID card issued by the U.S. Uniformed Services (including retired and dependent uniformed service IDs)
  • A U.S. passport book or card
If you don't currently have one of these photo IDs you can get a free state ID card at your local Division of Motor Vehicles office.

VOTE EARLY
If you think there is even a slight chance you won't make it to the polls on November 6th, then vote early! Any Wisconsin voter who wishes to cast an absentee ballot may do so either in-person during the early voting period or by mail. Just be sure you have a photo ID ready to vote at anytime.
